Biography

Richard Doehring is a founding partner as Doehring & Doehring. He Graduated from The Kinkaid School in Houston, TX in 1961. After graduating from high school he attended Trinity University in San Antonio, TX until graduating in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Upon graduation from Trinity University he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and spent four years on active duty as a helicopter pilot. He is a Vietnam veteran having flown over 700 combat hours in Cobra helicopters. Upon his release from active duty he was employed as a aircraft salesman, flight instructor and officer/pilot in the US Army Reserve while attending law school at South Texas College of Law. He graduated from law school in 1974 and began his law practice in 1975.

Up until November 2000, Richard Doehring practiced law with his brother in the law firm of Doehring & Doehring in Houston, Texas and has continued practice under that name since the death of his brother in November 2000. He continued his practice with his nephew, David R. Doehring. The last twenty-five years of his law practice has been devoted almost exclusively to matters related to probate law with emphasis on dependent administrations. He has had the privilege of being a court appointee as administrator, Receiver, Guardian, and ad litem in many probate matters from all four Harris County probate courts. He has handled probate and related matters in a variety of counties throughout Texas.
